A business right here in South Mississippi is making all natural health and beauty products. We are going to tell you about that on Page 13.
You know, more and more consumers look for the words all natural, especially when it comes to health and beauty products. On tonight’s Page 13, we feature a small South Mississippi company that uses herbs and essential oils to make hand-crafted soap.
Silver Run Bath Co is a home-grown business where soaps and other body products are made right here in South Mississippi. Heidi Dedeaux discovered the art of soap making back in 1999. “The first time I made a batch I was hooked.”
Today, Heidi’s company features a wide variety of natural products made from essential oils and herbal recipes. Natural soaps, lotions, oils, scrubs, and I know you, you are curious, you want to see how it is done. So we are going to take you into kind of a combination shop and kitchen for a look at the process.
“That is one thing I love about this process - the chemical reactions and creativity combined. In this case I use palm oil, palm kernel oil, olive oil, and coconut oil.”
Silver Run Bath Company is trying to make a name for itself in the competitive business of hand-crafted, natural skin products. Heidi Dedeaux has big plans and is enjoying watching her company grow. “It is a whole way of living, it the natural, choose natural over chemical. It really has an effect on our minds and our bodies use the Lavender soap - Lavender is relaxing. It is just the whole process of taking something that I cooked up and here it is in a package in a store and you can walk in and buy it, or go online and buy it.”
Heidi Dedeaux is making all natural skin products in South Mississippi.
